Arsenal welcome Leicester to the Emirates Stadium this weekend as they aim to consolidate their hold on the fourth spot. The Gunners survived a scare to overcome Watford 3-2 on the previous match day. The Foxes are arriving at Emirates having claimed a 2-0 advantage against French rivals Rennes in the Europa Conference League competition. Arsenal have the next season's Champions League as theirs to lose as they are already at fourth place with 3 games in hand. Mikel Arteta has done a good job on the Gunners as they had been written off by many at the start of the season following the back to back defeats that they suffered that saw them even seat at the top of the table at some point. Arteta has more than proved a point by showing that his side is very much in the top four race competition. Only Manchester City and their close challengers Liverpool have performed better than Arsenal at home.
Leicester are on a four games winning streak in all competitions and they will be looking forward to convert this to a 5 wins run. The Foxes are currently 12th placed, just 2 points behind 10th placed Southampton with 3 games in hand. Failure to qualify for any European competition will go down as a disappointing season for Leicester and they will try as much as they can to avoid the outcome. Arsenal won 2-0 at the King Power Stadium in the first half of this season's campaign and they will be looking to turn things in their favour yet again as they capitalise on the absence of Leicester's star striker Jamie Vardy.
