sokapro-The Europa Conference League Final

AS Roma take on Feyenoord in the first UEFA Europa Conference League final tonight. Who will make history to be the first to lift the cup?

The Italian side is seeking to lift their first European title as they head into the final but the Dutch team could become the first to win all three of Europe's current club trophies. More than 30 years ago in 1984, Roma lost to Liverpool in the European Cup Final and seven years later lost the UEFA Cup to fellow Serie A counterparts Inter Milan. Both competitions have now been revamped to form the top two tier competitions in Europe which are now known as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League

AS Roma arrive in Tirana in Albania having finished 6th in the Serie A and have thus qualified to participate in next season's Europa League competitions. They concluded their league season with a 3-0 win against Torino last Friday. Tammy Abraham scored a brace in that game and Jose Mourinho expects him to shine even brighter in tonight's final. Whoever wins the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifies automatically for the UEFA Europa League next season but Feyenoord will be the ones to qualify if they win as Roma have already in meaning winning will only add a trophy to their cabinets. For both teams, winning the competition will be their only chance to get silverware this season. Mourinho would be acclaimed for winning four European competitions with four different clubs. He has won both the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League twice.

Feyenoord have gone to secure a third-place finish in the Netherlands Eredivisie since sealing their place in the final. They, however, lost to Twente on the final day. The 15 times Dutch champions are a force to reckon with as they were on an 11 game unbeaten run before Twente halted the streak. Arne Slot will lead the Dutch team in the final tonight at Tirana. He is a coach whose philosophy largely contradicts that of Roma's side Jose Mourinho
