As the FA Cup final is about to go down, we take a look at the African players that will be vital in the formation and execution of the game.

The Emirates FA Cup final will be the main fixture of the weekend and it will involve a number of African stars. As Chelsea and Liverpool battle out for English glory this weekend, African players are expected to play important roles in the build-up of the game and in the final score sheet. Going to Italy, AC Milan are two games away from clinching the Serie A, Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie are expected to take them closer to the title as they face Atalanta

Edouard Mendy will be the man to stop the Liverpool strikes from getting to the back of the net. In the Carabao Cup final, he was very much in form stopping shots from the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and was essential even going into extra time up to the penalty kicks period of the break. Some argue that he has been largely out of form ever since that final but the Blues will for sure be depending on his goal-keeping prowess to keep a clean sheet in tomorrow's final. The goalkeeper will be looking to outdo Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Naby Keita and Joel Matip at Wembley Stadium.

Sadio Mane will be tasked to score against his fellow countryman Edouard Mendy and he has been an essential asset to Liverpool often bailing them out in the much-needed times the most recent heroic moment was when he scored the winning goal against a stubborn Aston Villa. The Reds will be hoping that the Senegalese international will continue with his heroic acts in tomorrow's clash. Mohamed Salah is another African player that the Blues will be wary of. The Egyptian man has got a lot of creativity on the pitch that comes along with a powerful attacking power that leaves the defenders of the opposing team sometimes flat on the ground as he dribbles passed them. Naby Keita and Joel Matip will also be very essential on the pitch if Liverpool are to edge out Chelsea
