sokapro-Barcelona vs Bayern: Who will win tonight?

Barcelona will still be hoping to reach the knock_out stages when they face off with Bayern Munch tonight at the Camp Nou in the UEFA Champions League.

The Catalan giants are third in Group C and risk missing out on the UEFA Champions League round of 16 if they fail to cling position two in their group. They are three points behind second-placed Inter Milan while Bayern top the group with 12 points after winning all of their four played group stage games. The giants of Catalonia made it 28 points in the LaLiga this season after playing 11 games with their latest match being a 4-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao. However, there is no getting away from the fact that this has been a disappointing UCL season for them.  They have only picked up four points from the four matches they have played.

Inter Milan will host Viktoria Plzen earlier tonight and a win for the Italian side will see them qualify for the round of 16 ending Barcelona's hopes for reaching the knockout stages of the competition. If that happens Xavi's side will have been confirmed to finish third in their group dropping into the UEFA Europa League for the second season in a row. The Catalan side, therefore, needs a favour from Plzen, and then they themselves proceed to thrash Bayern Munich tonight but they have only picked up one point from their last three UCL matches losing back to back matches to back games to Bayern and Inter before being held to a 3-3 draw by the Italian giants at Camp Nou.

Barcelona can be encouraged by their recent victories over Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao at home, but they fell to Real Madrid in El Clasico 3-1 and have struggled in European competitions this term and now they welcome one of the finest sides in the UEFA Champions League competition at Camp Nou. Bayern Munich have scored 13 times in their last 4 UCL games and conceded only two goals thus showing their quality on the pitch. They beat Barcelona 2-0 and Inter 2-0 in their first two group-stage games before winning 5-0 over Victoria Plzen and again beating them 4-2 in the return fixture.

Bayern come into the competition tonight having won 2-0 over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday but they are surprisingly second in the Bundesliga so far as Union Berlin leads the park. The German powerhouse have won the European cup on six occasions their most recent title being in 2019 when they beat Paris Saint Germain in the final. They were, however, eliminated by Villarreal in the quarter-finals of last season's campaign. Bayern have not lost to Barcelona since the semi-finals of the 2014-15 Champions League. They will secure a victory of group C if Inter fails to overcome Victoria Plzen and even if Inter goes passed Plzen, a victory over the Catalan giants will seal their number 1 spot. It will be hot and smoky tonight, however, when Barcelona meet up with Bayern Munich at Camp Nou regardless of the group standings outcome.
