Arsenal will trek to Stamford Bridge to square off with London rivals Chelsea on Saturday in what is considered to be the highlight match of the weekend. Mikel Arteta's men are second placed in the Premier League table so far with the only thing making the difference between them and league leaders Tottenham being inferior goals scored tally. Saturday's match will yet again be another test for Mauricio Pochettino as the Argentine tutor seeks to find his footing as the Chelsea boss. The Blues winger Raheem Sterling was overlooked in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the second time in the space of as many months but much to the surprise of many Chelsea fans England qualified for the Euro 2024 without him.

Chelsea fans, however, may have felt a small sense of gratitude towards the England boss as Sterling's latest omission invoked a fire within the forward and he inspired the Blues to an emphatic come-from-behind triumph against a promoted Burnley side two weekends ago. Having been successful over Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham, Chelsea now boasts of being victorious in three consecutive fixtures for the first time since Graham Potter's final week in charge during the last month of March this year. However, Chelsea's 11th position in the Premier League table is not a sight to behold given the stature of the Blues in European football. It goes without mentioning, however, that Chelsea, are not operating at their optimal potential given the bad luck that has befallen them in terms of having very many first-team players on the injury list.
