Todd Boehly in May led a consortium that took over the running of the affairs of Chelsea Football Club as the club owners. He has now taken up the role of chairman after it was confirmed that Bruce Buck will step down from the role after 19 years in charge. Marina Granovskaia is also set to depart from the club with Boehly taking over the role of Sporting Director until a permanent replacement is found. Marina has, however, agreed to work closely with Boehly in player transfer-related matters until the close of the current transfer window. She will also additionally be available to the club to help in the transition process.

The other confirmed board members will include; Mark Walter who is a co-owner of Chelsea, a part-owner of Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Sparks, and also the co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Partners. Hansjorg Wyss will also seat on the board he is a co-owner of Chelsea FC, and founder of a charity, The Wyss Foundation. Jonathan Goldstein also a co-owner of the club will be a member. He is also the co-founder and CEO of investment firm Cain International. Other members include Barbara Charone, the director and co-founder of a music PR firm, Lord Daniel Finkelstein OBE who is a columnist and former executive editor of The Times, and James Pade a partner and managing director of Clearlake Capital.
