Bayern Munich are planning on turning their attention to Cristiano Ronaldo if Robert Lewandowski continues to push for a move to Catalonia giants, Barcelona. The Manchester United veteran is reported to be frustrated with the club's current lack of progress in the transfer market. The Portuguese superstar is said to be considering his immediate future at Old Trafford. There is a rising concern if United are equipped to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and other ‘big boys’ of Europe and Erik ten Hag is yet to make a signing since replacing Ralf Rangnick.
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to play Champions League football but is, however, prepared to stay loyal to Manchester United provided that they show ambition for the future. To the superstar, the ambition should also be shown during this transfer window but he is beginning to be frustrated as there are no signs of any new signings and things are not looking good. To date, there has been little progress in the pursuit of new recruits and now Bayern are seemingly monitoring Ronaldo's situation. Ronaldo is being viewed as a possible replacement for Lewandowski who wants to join Barcelona but it is also rumored that Bayern are ‘trying to frustrate’ the transfer.
Barcelona have now raised their recent opening offer of £35million for the Poland superstar but a deal is still yet to be agreed upon between the two clubs. Lewandowski has been at Bayern for 8 seasons but still the club is not keen on letting him go considering he is considered as one of the greatest players to ever grace the Allianz Arena. Bayern's sporting director is still optimistic that the Bundesliga record-breaker will stay with them but they have a plan on their sleeves to pursue Cristiano Ronaldo should they fail in their attempt to keep their star.
