Frenkie de Jong has been the subject of discussion as his anticipated move from Barcelona to Manchester United is delayed.

Television pundit and Manchester United legend Gary Neville has been a harsh critic of Barcelona in recent times and the Frenkie de Jong situation was yet another chance for him to attack and criticize the Catalan Giants. He has recently been one of the biggest critics of everything Barcelona has done especially under their newly installed president Joan Laporte who had earlier served at the club in the same position some years back. Gary Nevile has now used media speculations about Frenkie de Jong to come out guns blazing on the Catalan giants again. The former Red Devils player thinks that the Netherlands international player should consider suing Barcelona over how he is being treated. “De Jong should consider legal action v Barcelona and all players should be behind him! A club spending fortunes on new players whilst not paying the ones they have under contract their full money is immoral and a breach. @FIFPRO should be all over bullying like this and stop it, ” said Neville in a tweet.

Neville had earlier talked about Barcelona's poaching hunger yet the club had a debt of about 1.3 billion euros. This is what Gery Nevile had said earlier; “It's a desperate club with a 1.3 billion euro debt selling future revenue streams to spend on players in the 'hope' that it will pay off. It's like rolling the dice on a giant club. Why does Barcelona keep chasing the Super League? Here's why!” Neville concluded. The Barcelona president also was not left behind in commenting about Frenkie de Jong. “He is our player, we like him a lot. We received some offers for Frenkie, but we don't accept them at the moment, we want to talk to him and find out exactly what he wants. We need to clarify some aspects of his situation," Laporte said.

Barca have been busy in the market during this open transfer period having signed Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, Andreas Christensen from Chelsea, Frank Kessie from AC Milan, and Raphinha from Leeds. Jules Kounde, Marcos Alonso, and Cesar Azpilicueta are also on the Catalonia giant's radar.  Barca, however, will have to let go of some of their players if they want to get hold of their current transfer targets and have them to put pen on paper.
