He is arguably the most valuable player that Real Madrid have and will be depending on his goal scoring prowess to proceed to the next stage of the UCL.

Karim Benzema has been a rising star for Real Madrid during his sunset years at the club. He will be a very crucial element if Real Madrid is to go passed Manchester City tonight. His tally in the UCL now stands at 14 following his scoring twice in the first leg of the semi-final at Etihad. He now has the most goals scored in a UCL season up to the semi-final stage alongside Lionel Messi who scored 14 goals for Barcelona in the 2011-12 UCL season. Despite Messi's efforts, Barcelona succumbed to eventual champions, Chelsea 3-2.

Benzema will go into tonight's game with an aim to set a personal record of exceeding the 14 goals he has scored so far. He comes into the come filled with a lot of confidence knowing that it was his hat-trick that sent Paris Saint Germain parking and also it was his extra-time goal that made Chelsea's comeback unsuccessful. There is no reason as to why the French man can not replicate this tonight under the light of the Bernabeu with the wild Los Blancos fans filled inside.

Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals scored in a UCL campaign having scored 17 goals in the 2013-14 season when Real Madrid won the UCL final against their city rivals Atletico Madrid. Tonight, the game between Real Madrid and Manchester City will be one thriller of a game if the first leg goal-scoring record is anything to go by not to mention that players like Karim Benzema will be looking to set their personal record in a UCL campaign.
