If Paris Saint Germain football star Kylian Mbappe ever gets fed up with playing on the football pitch, there is another ‘career’ waiting for him in the political pitch. Its been a tight presidential race if France between the incumbent president, Emmanuel Macron and his neck-to-neck competitor Marine Le Pen.  The love for Mbappe amongst the French people runs deep, he was given a total of ten votes in the village of Tallenay in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region in eastern France despite him not even being on the ballot.

The ten votes will for sure not make Mbappe the President of France but they are a pretty good result for a man that was not even in the presidential race. He did not even try to promote any political ideology. The only thing that he has done to Gunnar so much love was to perform his tasks at PSG and score goals, although, this season has not been that successful as they bowed out of the UEFA Champions League competition at the round of 16 stage crashing out to Real Madrid. 

Before one laughs off Mbappe's ten votes, it is worth noting that the population of Tallenay is only slightly above 300 individuals keeping in mind that not all these people are allowed to vote. That makes it a pretty decent result for a footballer who was not contesting for any seat even in the first place. Mbappe's contract at the French capital giants is running out and it is not known whether he will commit himself to an extension or move to Real Madrid, where he has been linked heavily in the recent past. Of course, it is absurd that he joins politics while so young with a rising football career but in the future, if he might ever think of giving it a try, he might not have to work as hard since he already has fans turned supporters even as a young football star whose got no interest in politics.
