Polish superstar Robert Lewandowski seems to be edging closer to bidding Bayern Munich goodbye after an 8-year stay at the German powerhouse. He has appeared in 374 official matches, scored 344 goals, and lifted 19 trophies with the club. Contrary information has been coming from Bayern, however, with the Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic saying that Lewandowski had shown open desire to leave the Munich-based club while the club President Herbert Heiner reassured the fans that Lewa had a contract until June 2023 and that the Polish man will play for them until then. Details have, however, emerged that Bayern have finally agreed to let him go putting into account how much he had brought for the club during his tenure playing for the squad.
The German side is now offering him for 60 million Euros but it is reported that Barcelona President Joan Laporte has said that they are willing to pay 40 million Euros and some bonuses for the Poland international. In the proposed contract that the Catalan giants are offering to Lewa, he will stay at Camp Nou for 3 years and he will earn much lesser than what he is used to. He will be taking home about 9 million Euros net per season as compared to the 13 million net he is getting currently at Bayern. The Sporting director for Bayern has been working to find a new striker for the club of late as reality downs on them that their much-celebrated superstar is on the verge of exiting the club.
It is now rumored that Bayern could go after Romelu Lukaku. With the exit of Lewa there will now be enough money left on the budget for the Belgian man. There are also pursuing Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele who is speculated that he will be taking 18 million Euros per season as gross salary and if this deal pulls through, then there will be no need for the Bavarians to go after the Chelsea striker Lukaku anymore.
