The reign of Paulo Dybala at Juventus is coming to an end as the Juventus Chief Executive Officer confirmed that he will depart the Italian power house at the end of the season. This has opened up the race to sign the Argentine forward as several European big boys have expressed interest already. Despite being the deputy captain of the Bianconeri, Dybala has seen his once upon a time ‘jewel in Juventus crown’ status diminish in the recent years. His increasingly decreasing status as the Juventus icon became more pronounced following the signing of Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina for £66.6million who has already hit the ground running with his goal scoring prowess. Dybala had reportedly being demanding a deal worth £10m a year meaning that he still sees himself as the main man at Juve but the reality is Vlahovic is the new kid in the block.
Dybala has missed more than half of the matches at of all Juventus fixtures over the last two seasons and this makes it inevitable for him to part ways with the Allianz Stadium. He left Palermo for Juventus back in 2015 and he has played under three different coaches. All does not seem to be well with his current boss Max Allegri with reports indicating that they were involved in a heated argument during training last week, speculations being because the Argentine was demanding more time on the pitch which he has not being enjoying much of it this season. A lot of factors including the money Dybala was demanding seem to have played out in the Bianconeri ultimate decision not to extend his deal and in C.E.O Maurizio Arrivabene own words "was no longer at the centre of the project".
Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have already being reported to be among the front runners looking to input the Argentine forward in their squad. Manchester United are also keeping an eye on Dybala as Edison Cavani is expected to leave the Old Trafford at the end of the season while the future of Marcus Rashford is increasingly becoming unclear not to mention Cristiano Ronaldo's ultimatum to leave the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. Dybala should not have many regrets about his time in Turin as he has five Scudetti and four Coppa Italia winners’ medals to his name.
