The Belgian man half a decade stay at Liverpool is coming to an end with the close of this season's campaign

Liverpool striker Divock Origi will be out of contract at the end of the season and it is reported that Italian power house, AC Milan are close to closing in on a deal to have him at the San Siro. The Rossoneri have been in talks with the Belgian international for weeks now and both parties will soon struck a deal that will see the 26 year old move to Milan at the end of this season's campaign. Origi joined the Reds in 2014 after signing from Lille.

He has never earned a regular starting eleven for the Jurgen Klopp led side but has scored some memorable goals that have earned him a name at the Anfield. Liverpool had the option to extend his contract if he had made a certain number of appearances on the pitch but having just played on five occasions this season meant that Origi falls short of the clause and the only option he has left is to leave Anfield.

AS Roma were also reportedly very interested in signing the Belgian man but the Jose Mourinho led side are now out of the race as Origi is set to put pen on paper for Milan. Milan are currently on top of the Serie A table and if they persist with their current momentum, then they will end their decade long wait for a league title. They are however facing very stiff competition from their arch rivals and current champions, Inter Milan as well as Napoli and Juventus which have expanded the Serie A title challenge to a four horse race.
