If tonight's Europe's semifinals can produce half as much drama as the one that has been witnessed in the past two nights in the UEFA Champions League semifinals, then we are in for a real treat. It was very much anticipated that the UCL final would be an English affair between Liverpool and Manchester City as they were both leading in their first leg of their respective semifinals but City were outsmarted by Real Madrid in yesternight's semis. Villarreal also came very close to completing a comeback against Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp headed on the wake-up call going into halftime and came back in the second half to completely shutter the yellow submarines' dream of playing in their first ever UCL final.
Tonight the football world shall be witnessing semifinal matches between Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham and Rangers vs RB Leipzig in the UEFA Europa League and AS Roma vs Leicester and Marseille vs Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League. In the first UEL semifinal, the hammers must overturn a 2-1 deficit as they aim at reaching their first European final in the last 46 years. Given the record that David Moyes has had at the helm of West Ham, it is no doubt that he can pull a comeback which makes their game interesting as Eintracht Frankfurt will be looking to defend their lead and if they must go down, then it will not be without a fight. RB Leipzig on the hand are the favorites to progress into the finals although they trail Rangers 1-0. But to do so, they will have to keep their in-form player, Christopher Nkunku on the attack throughout the game as they aim to reach their first UEL final in the last 14 years.
Although the Europa Conference League is in its inaugural campaign, it will not go without its fair share of drama. Following their EPL win and successful FA Cup campaign last season, Leicester will be looking to stamp their authority in the European competitions as they face off with a charged AS Roma side tonight. The two are at a stalemate following the 1-1 draw that both teams managed in the first tie of the competition. French side Marseille will also be aiming at mounting a comeback on their Netherlands counterparts, Feyenoord as they trail them with a goal. Both teams are aiming at being the inaugural winners of this competition.
