The Formula1 driver had his $320,000 watch stolen on Easter Monday in the Italian City of Viareggio.

Leclerc had stopped at the Italian City of Viareggio to take photographs with fans before a crowd gathered around him and a thief managed to remove his $320, 000 special edition Richard Mille watch from his left wrist. The Ferrari driver was unharmed although he and his friends reportedly chased after the thieves without success and local police launched an investigation into the incident afterward.

Speaking to the media, Leclerc admitted that finding the thieves was not going on smoothly but insisted that it will not hurt him this weekend as he looks forward to extending his 34 points title lead. The experience of Charles Leclerc has left Lando Norris contemplating having a personal bodyguard.

Leclerc's victory in Melbourne two weeks ago was his second in the opening three races enabling him to open a 34 point lead at the top of the table. This coming Grand Prix, Ferrari will be at home in the Emilia Romagna Grand Pix and they will be looking to shine and Leclerc will be aiming to extend his lead despite the robbery incident he experienced.
