The Liverpool boss now claims that not even all of the Liverpool city is backing them to clinch the EPL trophy.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shrugged off his rival's claims that everyone in the UK was supporting the Reds to be crowned the Premier League champions. He has in a quick rejoinder said that not even the whole of Liverpool city supports them to take the title as only half of the city is backing them up. Manchester City moved three points clear this past weekend when they beat Newcastle 5-0 and Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham who are battling out with Arsenal for a top-four finish.

Pep Guardiola had claimed that everyone in the country including the media were in support of Liverpool and not his team to get their fourth Premier League title in just five years. In Klopp's words, he responded, "I live in Liverpool so, yes, here a lot of people want us to win the league, that's true, but even here it's probably only 50 percent." He added that when he goes to places he does not get the feeling that the whole country is supporting them. He says that the reality he is faced with is actually the opposite of what his arch-rival Guardiola is claiming.

Liverpool now have to hope that City slip in one of their remaining three games if they are to clinch the title and achieve their quadruple dream. They have already won the EFL Carabao cup, they are in the FA Cup final where they are to face Chelsea as well as in the UEFA Champions League final where they are set to square it out with LaLiga Champions, Real Madrid. Pep will be aiming in the coming days to lift the mood of his players and change their perspective after dropping points in this past weekend at Anfield Stadium. Could the outburst between Klopp and Guardiola be a rivalry in the making of one of the world's best managers in modern football?
