The quarter finals fixtures are set to be played on 6th April with the return fixtures set on 13th April.

The UEFA Champions League Quarter finals draw is out and there are plenty of exciting matches. The reigning champions Chelsea will face thirteen time champions Real Madrid. In another interesting tie, Premier League champions Manchester City will be up against LaLiga title holders Atletico Madrid. The EPL title challengers Liverpool will battle it out with Benfica while Villarreal will square it out with German power house Bayern Munich.

Chelsea and Real Madrid will have to eliminate each other again as they met in the last season's semi-finals where by the first fixture ended in a 1-1 draw before the Blues knocked out the Los Blancos 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the return tie. Ancelotti's men are now the LaLiga leaders with a clear 10 points and enter this tie with a lot of confidence having knocked out Paris Saint Germain who boast of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. Liverpool Boss, Jurgen Klopp will be thrilled that he has avoided a clash with any of the big boys of Europe as he now sets his eyes on going passed Benfica who are currently third in the Portuguese top tier league.

Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid overcame the uphill battle of edging passed English giants Manchester United in the round of 16 and now will be facing a similar task with their previous opponent's city rivals, Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's City are currently facing an EPL challenge from their modern Premier League rivals Liverpool and would be looking to performing their best to have the UCL trophy just incase the Reds run away with the English trophy. Bayern are also in a ‘sigh of relief moment’ after they were paired up against Villarreal but will at the same time be weary of a side that eliminated the Italian big boys, Juventus thrashing them 3-0 in front of their own fans at the Allianz Stadium.

The winner of the tie between Real Madrid and Chelsea will face the winner between Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals while the winner between Bayern Munich and Villarreal will face the victor between Liverpool and Benfica.
