As Liverpool mount a challenge on Premier League leaders, Manchester City, Mohammed Salah seems to be the runaway top goalscorer having netted in 22 goals so far. The EPL is almost over, some teams have got two games to go with the team that has got to play most games to complete their season having to play five. Salah might be ahead in the goal-scoring sheet but now Tottenham's Heung Son follows him closely with 19 goals and Cristiano Ronaldo comes in third with 18 goals. 

It is expected that Salah will continue leading the charts since Liverpool are very much in the race to clinch the EPL title and they are doing everything possible to actualize their dreams and scoring as many goals as possible is definitely part of their plan. The Egyptian King started his goal-scoring campaign on a. high note by netting 9 goals in 10 games including a hat-trick against Manchester United. Not even missing two games as a result of his AFCON involvement made him lose his goal-scoring touch. Son has now brought himself into the conversation following his brace in Spurs' victory over Leicester. 

Ronaldo has now netted two hat-tricks in the season, one against Tottenham and another against Norwich which has propelled him to seating at position 3 currently in goal scoring but will need to do a lot more than magic in his last two games if at all he is to overhaul Salah. Liverpool's dominance in the top 5 is very visible as Diogo Jota is 4th with 15 goals and Sadio Mane is 5th 14 goals. The bottom line remains that the only challenger to Salah is Son but chances are the Liverpool man might still lift the golden boot at the end of the season.
