Formula 1 is set to return to Las Vegas next year with the race taking place on the famous Las Vegas strip. The Grand prix will be held on a Saturday night in November with the track passing through some of Vegas most legendary landmarks, hotels, and casinos. The track design is 6 kilometers long and the top speed is estimated to be about 341kph. There will be 50 race laps with three main straights and 14 corners, including a high-speed cornering sequence and a single chicane section. Las Vegas is considered as a global entertainment capital of the world as it is known for its excitement, the famous Strip, hospitality, and thrills. The backdrop of the grand prix will be the Las Vegas neon lights. Vegas has previously hosted two formula 1 grands prix which took place in the 1980s in the parking lot of the Caesars Palace hotel but the 2023 grand prix will be staged at the Strip. The calendar is set to grow with even Africa possibly hosting races in the future according to Stefano Domenicali, president and chief executive of Formula 1. South Africa's Kyalami circuit last hosted a race in 1993 and recently, Lewis Hamilton insisted that it should be back in F1. Formula 1 is set to have a record of 23 races in this calendar year.
