Bayern Munich might be coming to terms with the loss of their star player Poland forward Robert Lewandowski but they can begin to feel excited about Sadio Mane. It seems that Mane and Bayern have already reached an agreement and what is left is for Liverpool to make peace with the fact that one of their most decorated forwards is leaving the club. Mane's speculation to play at Munich began almost a month ago when his representative met with Bayern Munich's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic in Mallorca to discuss talks about the player. The talks were successfully concluded yesterday according to multiple reports.
Sadio Mane's current contract with Liverpool is about 100,000 pounds per week and Bayern Munich are said to have offered the Senegal international four times as much as what he earns at Liverpool. He is set to be earning 20 million pounds gross per season which means that he will be getting about 10 million net in one season. Bayern's offer will last for only three years but considering the fact that Mane is 30 years now, and is set to be paid four times as much, it was too tempting for him to resist. Just like Salah did, Mane rejected Liverpool's offer to further his contract as they were demanding a 400,000 pounds a week, an offer that the Reds were not willing to put on the table.
The Senegalese is now a possible replacement for Serge Gnabry who is also on the verge of leaving the German powerhouse. Bayern are also eyeing Romelu Lukaku as a replacement for departing star Robert Lewandowski. Mane is a flexible player who can be used for several positions. Liverpool are now demanding 50 million Euros for the Senegalese star but Bayern are only willing to part with a maximum of 30 million Euros and it is evident the German side have the upper hand now in the Mane transfer. At Anfield, a search for Mane's replacement has already begun as they are aware that they are losing one of the best football players of this generation. Arnaut Danjuma of Villarreal is the most likely to replace Sadio Mane in the Reds' attacking line.
