The two football giants will convene at Monchengladbach tonight to renew their hostilities in the ongoing UEFA Nations League competitions.

Germany will renew their rivalry at Monchengladbach tonight as the two World football heavyweights face off in the UEFA Nations League. Both nations had their weekend matches end in draws and they will be aiming to be victorious and outshine each other's intelligence tonight. Germany have now posted 3 successive 1-1 draw in the Nations League and they are still seeking their first win. Their hopes to enter into the finals as group leaders lie squarely on them turning their fortunes in the remaining three games. These two nations met on the opening night of the Nations League in Bologna and the game ended in a draw. The German edition of the group stages will conclude in December when they host Hungary in a repeat match before they head to Wembley to face England.

After missing out on the global showpiece slated to take place in Qatar, Italy have shed off some of their old guards and are now experimenting with young professionals on the pitch. They come into the match having earned a point in the goalless draw between themselves and England at the Molineux Stadium. They kicked off their schedule with a humbling defeat from Copa America winners Argentina in a game in which they were crashed 3-0 as the Messi Effect was very much felt by the Azzuri. However, they remain unbeaten ever since that Finalissima match. Italy now face Germany for the second time in 10 days as they round off a relatively positive camp.

Joshua Kimmich is a player to watch as he is the one who equalized for the Germans to cancel out Lorenzo Pellegrini's goal who is also a key player in the Italian squad. Germany will be using this game as a preparation for the FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup as they are looking forward to lifting their 5th title while Italy will be using the game to show the world that they might have missed out on the World Cup but they still belong in the league of the ‘big boys’.
