The yellow submarine sent Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich parking to make it to the last four while Liverpool had a goals-thriller of a fixture after beating Benfica Lisbon an aggregate of 6-4.

The 2021-22 campaign has got only about a month left and the high-flying Liverpool are dreaming of ending the season with four trophies in their cabinets. They have already qualified for the Emirates FA Cup final where they will face Chelsea again and are only one point behind Premier League leaders Manchester City. With a team harboring such an ambition, they can be ruthless and merciless in their quest raining goals on any side that they come across. Villarreal have also their fair share of success, especially in this season's UCL campaign. A team that has brought down two giants of the stature of Bayern Munich and Juventus can not be underestimated. The yellow submarines will be looking to extend their fairy tale a step further or perhaps even have the privilege of being crowned the champions of Europe.

Both Unai Emery and Jurgen Klopp are very good managers boasting of excellent records and each one of them will be looking to outclass the tactics of the other tonight. The Reds have been having a hectic April schedule and the first leg of this semi-final fixture will represent their eighth game of the month. Emery's side have already faced and passed two major tests already and will therefore be traveling to Anfield with a lot of optimism ready to face their task ahead.
