Manchester United's woes on the pitch seem to be far from over as right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been ruled out for several weeks following an injury he picked up during a 3-1 defeat at home against Brighton. Bissaka had been benched for the game due to an illness he was undergoing and was only brought to play in the 85th minute of the game where he picked up an injury. Manchester United confirmed in an official statement: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury during the closing stages of Saturday's game against Brighton and Hove Albion. Further assessment will be needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out for, but initial indications suggest it will be several weeks.”

It has now been established that he will miss six to eight training weeks. Manchester United has been struggling with injuries during the ongoing season as Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Tyrell Malacia all picked up knocks before the right-back’s setback. The Red Devils' new signing Mason Mount has not featured in the last three games while other new signings like Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund have also been unavailable sometimes. Manchester United are set to face off with Bayern Munich on Wednesday amid all the injuries. This will by far be Erik Ten Hag's biggest test as to how he manages to tackle the deadly Bayern team.
