Conte has been linked as the next head coach for PSG as Pochettino's future remains uncertain.

Pochettino might have won the French Ligue1 but he might still be heading to the Paris Saint Germain exit door after failing to deliver the UEFA Champions League title to Parc de Princess. He had earlier been linked to Old Trafford but the Manchester United job has already been confirmed to Erik ten Hag. PSG were knocked out of the UCL in a calamitous fashion after crashing out to Real Madrid in a second leg comeback that saw them bid the tournament in just less than 30 minutes to the end of the game. The failure to defend the 2 goals advantage in that UCL seems to have be costing the Argentine coach, Mauricio Pochettino dearly.

The replacement of Pochettino could be the current boss at his former Tottenham club, Antonio Conte. Conte has overseen the turnaround of Tottenham to be a club that is now contesting for the EPL top-four finish. He has previously managed the ‘big boys’ of Europe amongst them, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Juventus. While Pochettino has been in Paris, the domestic dominance has remained but so has the European fragility.  The Argentine as a player made 70 appearances in a two-year playing time in the French capital and many saw his bringing of football superstar, Lionel Messi as an added advantage in his quest to bring the first UCL title to the le Parisiens

The Pochettino tribulations began last season when he missed out on the Ligue1 title to surprise champions, Lille.  He, therefore, became the second PSG coach to fail to win the league title after Unai Emery in 2012. If Pochettino is to depart, however, the humiliating 3-2 aggregate defeat suffered at the hands of Real Madrid will be remembered as the decisive moment of his time at the Parc de Princess. Fixing their Fragility in the UCL is at the foremost of the Paris management agenda for next season and that is why appointment of a manager with one of Europe's most impressive track records has been speculated.

Conte has won five league titles, four in the Serie A and one in the EPL, and his name is always mentioned whenever a managerial vacancy appears at an elite European club. Conte's down-time as a manager comes from the fact that he has not been able to progress beyond the UCL quarter-finals thus he does not have a taste of European continental glory.
