Kylian Mbappe has finally decided that his future lies away from Paris Saint Germain after agreeing to a five years contract with Spanish capital giants, Real Madrid. The 22-year-old's contract at PSG is coming to a conclusion at the end of this season and there have been speculations on whether he will renew terms or he will decide to move away from the French capital. He had earlier teased at the Ligue 1 ceremony award that he will make an announcement on his future soon further throwing football fanatics deep into anticipation. It is now, however, becoming clear that his future is at Madrid after visiting the Spanish capital at the start of this week for talks with Real Madrid.
Details are now emerging that he is set to sign a contract with the Los Blancos to be in their squad until 2027. It is rumored that what the French international will be pocketing at Madrid is lower than what he was been offered to remain in Paris. Mbappe has times without number said that it has always been his dream to play with Real Madrid and this decision seemed to have been driven by passion rather than financial benefits. He has scored 25 goals and provided 17 assists this season which earned him the player of the season award for the third season running.
PSG lost the title to run away Ligue1 winners Lille but the efforts of the upcoming football superstar helped them regain the title alongside the cooperation of Lionel Messi and Neymar amongst others. Their downtime, however, was when they lost to qualify for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals following a surprising come-back they suffered at the hands of Real Madrid courtesy of Karim Benzema's hat-trick. Ones Kylian Mbappe completes his PSG-Real Madrid move, it will bring to an end one of the longest transfer sagas that have lasted for almost a year.
