Senegalese superstar Sadio Mane was a fan favourite at Liverpool prior to his move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for a reported 35 million Euros plus add-ons.

Sadio Mane is set to move from the Bundesliga to the Saudi Pro League with a move to Al Nassr all but complete pending official confirmation. Despite winning the Bundesliga and only joining Bayern last season, things have not worked out well for the Senegalese in Germany and he is already seeking a new challenge. During his time at Liverpool, he raked in 120 goals in 269 games. He also won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup during his reign as a talisman with the Reds. Many fans expected Mane to replicate his form in Germany but his time in Munich was cut short after an altercation with his teammate Leroy Sane.

Following the aforementioned altercation, Sadio Mane was given a hefty fine of £250,000 and was put on suspension under their current manager Thomas Tuchel and he has been largely out of favor since then. If Mane decides to feel his future in the Middle East, Liverpool might receive less than the £35 million agreed upon with Bayern Munich. The deal between Liverpool and Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane was initially £27.5m, with a further £5m based on appearances, and £2.5m in add-ons based on individual and team achievements. Mane went under the surgery needed to treat his leg and thus missed a chunk of Bayern's game last season. The limited number of games that Mane played last season will thus impact the amount of add-on Liverpool will receive if the attacker decides to end his relationship with the Bundesliga champions.

Liverpool can, however, look forward to receiving more than £27.5m fee though as Bayern ended up winning the Bundesliga title in the midst of a season that saw them not bag any other silverware. The Reds had a largely unsuccessful season in the past campaign and are now undergoing a massive rebuild of their team in readiness to challenge for the Premier League title for the 2023/24 season. They have let go of several of their players amongst them Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Roberto Firmino to name a few. On the other hand, they have managed to sign a few players including  Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Alister and they are currently in pursuit of Southampton's Romea Lavia after having their first bid of £45m rejected.
