Two teams that have had a good start of the Premier League season battle it out for Premie League glory over the weekend both desperate to defend and protect their winning streak as Tottenham host Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

English Premier League giants Tottenham and Liverpool will be putting their unbeaten streaks on the line when they square it out in what will be a competitive football match on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Tottenham took a point away from their draw against Arsenal in the past weekend's North London derby while Liverpool are just from overcoming Leicester 3-1 to advance to the next round of the EFL Carabao Cup. Ange Postecoglou achieved a feat that none of Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho, or Nuno Espirito Santo managed during their ill-fated spells at the North London club by navigating Tottenham to a hard-earned point against Arsenal. The Gunners had twice taken the lead in the game with goals from Cristian Romero and Bukayo Saka but Tottenham was swift to reply through a brace by Son Heung Min who was twice assisted by Maddison. Spurs have now scored at least twice in every Premier League game under the management of Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham did not have to concern themselves with EFL Cup matters owing to their penalty-shootout disappointment at Fulham. They have been treated to an elongated recuperation period which is supposed to give them an advantage but they will be facing an in-form Liverpool side. After encountering a disappointing EPL season that saw them finish fifth in the previous campaign, the Reds have now turned the tide in their favour and seem to once again be up to the task of challenging their nemesis Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.

The Reds are now on a seven-game winning streak across all tournaments and they have dethroned Tottenham in the second position of the EPL table and are now runners-up to the unblemished Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp's side now travel to London with an eight-game Premier League unbeaten run to protect in away matches as well as an overall 19-game streak without a single defeat. Further, Liverpool have not lost to Spurs ever since the 4-1 thumping that they received back in 2017. The Reds have since navigated 12 fixtures against the North London side without defeat and they completed a double against them last season. This will be Liverpool's first taste, however, of the bouncing Tottenham Hotspur Stadium atmosphere with a Spurs team that is receiving their orders from Postecoglou from the touchline.
